Maca

Chocolate and hazelnut waffles

Another good news from my orchard, the green tomatoes and regular tomatoes have flowers now, which means they will soon grow the fruit and my life will be a bit happier.

Today is everyone-eats-for-breakfast-whatever-they-want, so usually I make anything my husband and munchkin 1 ask for, which goes from eggs with organic chorizo, to cottage cheese enchiladas, to fruit cocktail to sweet rolls. Today my husband went to work really early in the morning, so it was munchkin 1 whom decided what we were going to have for breakfast and she chose chocolate waffles.

I adapted my recipe from kitchenconfidante.com: I added more flour because the though was too lose for waffles, vanilla, swapped sugar for brown sugar and cocoa for organic cacao and added the toasted hazelnuts. These were delicious and the bananas and strawberries go really well with these.

The only thing you need to do is mix all the wet ingredients, then all the dry ingredients and add the wet to the dry slowly, so it takes longer to prep the ingredients than to actually make the dough.

I had my waffle after my ginger-strawberry shot and my veggie juice with chard from my own orchard.

Hugs,

Maca
