Maca

Raw marinated tuna

Today is my husband’s birthday. He turns 38 and he, usually, asks for very specific dishes on this day: pastel azteca and tortilla soup, but today he only asked for the tortilla soup, since we took advantage of the little ones being at school and went to have breakfast by ourselves and he ate a lot of sweet rolls.

Since my little ones and myself were going to be hungry at lunch, I made this tuna. Which I make very often, especially for dinner.

My munchkin one, like her mother, is a very big fan of raw fish and she loved this tuna, but munchkin 2 is not a huge fan of “gingery” flavors, and very seldom he eats raw fish.

The recipe calls for few ingredients and the tuna has to be a thick tuna steak chopped into small cubes.

I eat it all by itself with avocado, but munchkin 1 and my husband eat it in tostadas with mayonnaise.

I served it with my tortilla soup and tamarind water.

Hugs,

Maca
