Las recetas más populares de 2020/ The most popular recipes of 2020

Otro año más se acabó y como siempre les dejo la lista de las recetas que más les gustaron en 2020.

Siendo el año tan raro que fue 2020, vi un incremento enorme en las visitas al blog, muchos más contactos directos para preguntarme y/o opinar de una receta, más mails y mensajes para ayudarme a corregir errores que encontraban y alguna que otra llamada para ayudarles en el paso a paso de una receta o preguntas sobre ingredientes.

Este año que terminó también publiqué mucho más recetas, pues al pasar tanto tiempo en casa y sobre todo los primeros meses de la pandemia que fueron de terror y desconocimiento absoluto, nunca pedimos comida, por lo que cociné más que nunca para mi familia. Creo que de ahí también viene el incremento brutal que tuve en las visitas del blog (se quintuplicaron), y mucha gente tuvo que sacar sus sartenes y en muchos casos hasta comprarlos para hacerse de comer.

Nadie estaba acostumbrado a hacer las 3 a 5 comidas en casa, todos los días y con pura comida casera, porque, sobre todo para la gente que trabajaba en oficinas, de repente se encontraron con que no había cafetería, restaurantes de comida corrida (en la Ciudad de México que está repleta de gente por todos lados, es muy común que haya mini lugares en donde venden menús caseros muy baratos con menús que varían todos los días), y en general restaurantes o lugares a donde ibas a desayunar, comer y a veces hasta cenar saliendo del trabajo o y trabajando.

También este año me fijé menos en que todas las recetas (menos las que deliberadamente son “casi sanas”), tuvieran millones de verdura y usar poca grasa, menos carne y lácteos como normalmente le hacía pre-pandemia, pero la realidad es que sí fue un año complicado hasta en este tema. Cocinar diario, todas las comidas y sin mucha ayuda sobre ideas acabó siendo tedioso y hubo semanas que mi cocina, a la que amo, y yo, nos acabamos odiando.

La verdad es que también tengo varios kilos encima de pandemia, pero ya estamos trabajando para bajarlos.

Pero lo logramos, sigo teniendo niños sanos, que comen de casi todo. Todavía no renuncio a la cocina, y ya tengo muchas ideas para las siguientes semanas y veremos poco a poco.

Another year is gone and as always I leave you the list of the recipes that you liked the most in 2020.

Being the rare year that was 2020, I saw a huge increase in blog visits, many more direct contacts to ask me and/or review a recipe, more emails and messages to help me correct mistakes you found in a recipe and a call here and there to help them step by step with a recipe or questions about ingredients.

This year that ended I also posted way more recipes, because by spending so much time at home and especially the first months of the pandemic that were of absolute terror and ignorance, we never ordered food, so I cooked more than ever for my family. I think that is the origin of the incredible increase I had in blog visits (they quintuplicated), and a lot of people had to take out their pans and in many cases even buy them to cook their meals.

No one was used to eating all 3 to 5 meals at home, every day and with home-cooked food, because, especially for people who worked in offices, suddenly they found that there was no cafeteria, coffee shops, homemade food (in Mexico City which is full of people everywhere, it is very common to find these mini places where you can find very cheap homemade menus with menus that change every day) , and generally restaurants or places where you would have breakfast, lunch and sometimes even dinner while leaving work or still working.

Also this year I paid less attention that all the recipes (except those that are deliberately «healthy-ish»), had millions of vegetables and use little fat, less meat and dairy as I normally did pre-pandemic, but the reality is that it was a difficult year even on this subject. Cooking daily, all the meals and without much help with ideas ended up being tedious and there were weeks when my kitchen, which I love, and I, ended up hating each other.

Truth is, I also have several pandemic kilos, but I am already working on shedding them.

But we made it, I still have healthy kids, who eat almost everything. I still don’t give up cooking, and I already have a lot of ideas for the next few weeks and we’ll take it little by little.
